Our newsroom sometimes reports stories with the headline “Pioneer Staff Report.” This caption is used when reporters transcribe basic news from official sources, such as an email or press release, that requires little or no reporting.

Other times this signature is used when an article has multiple authors or when the article is created by combining previously reported news from different sources. If external sources are used, this is noted in the story.
