Samsung is bringing One UI 6.1 to the Galaxy S22 and more in the US and around the world

Following its recent launch in Korea, Samsung has officially announced that the One UI 6.1 AI update is now available for Galaxy S22, Fold 4, and Flip 4 devices in the US and globally.

One UI 6.1 first debuted on the Galaxy S24 series earlier this year, and the update largely focused on adding various AI features. The update later extended to the Galaxy S23 series and other 2023 Samsung flagships, and now it’s the turn of the 2022 devices.

Samsung announced One UI 6.1 for the Galaxy S22, Tab S8, Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 series in April, and began rolling out the update on May 2. However, issues with the update caused the rollout to be suspended until yesterday.

Now, in a blog post, Samsung has officially opened the floodgates to One UI 6.1 for the Galaxy S22 and other 2022 releases.

Samsung says One UI 6.1 is already rolling out to the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 4 in the United States and other countries around the world. Users have already noticed the update available for their devices in several countries, although US users don’t seem to be seeing it yet.

The post reiterates that the AI features available on older Galaxy devices are quite extensive, and the list includes:

  • Circle to search on Google
  • Chat assistant
  • Interpreter
  • Live translation
  • Attention Assistant
  • Transcription assistant
  • Browsing assistant
  • Generative editing
  • Edit suggestion
  • Wallpaper generated by artificial intelligence
