Bong Go helps sensitive sectors

DURING his visit to Quezon Province on Thursday, May 9, Senator Bong Go brought hope to thousands of struggling residents from vulnerable sectors and displaced workers at the Tiaong Convention Center.

The additional support provided by the senator reassured these communities that they were not alone in their difficulties.

As a testament to the power of unity and community, Go joined forces with the local government under the leadership of Mayor Vincent Arjay Mea. Together they helped residents in urgent need, especially those struggling with serious economic difficulties. This collaborative effort highlights a shared commitment to the well-being of the community.

“I don’t choose the day I work. I will serve you all to the best of my ability. This is what I can offer you: my diligence,” Go said.

More than 2,000 beneficiaries received financial assistance from the local government through a support fund that Go had previously advocated to help the city and its residents.

At the same time, 600 displaced workers received assistance under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating program for disadvantaged/displaced workers run by the Department of Labor and Employment, an initiative supported by Go.

In addition to financial assistance, Go and his Malasakit team distributed essential items such as food parcels, meals, vitamins, masks and shirts to the beneficiaries. The senator also distributed recreational items such as basketballs, volleyballs, shoes, bicycles, cell phones and watches to selected recipients.

In his speech, Mayor Mea sincerely thanked Senator Go for his significant contributions to the people of Tiaong. He highlighted the senator’s recent support in securing financial assistance for the city, radically supporting local development and providing necessary assistance to its residents.

Earlier in the day, Go also helped nearly two thousand other poor people from various sectors at Tiaong Town Plaza.
