iCIMS Appoints Joseph Benjamin as Chief Technology Officer and Eric Connors as Chief Product Officer

iCIMS has announced two key appointments to its executive team. Józef Beniamin will join as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) effective next week and Eric Connors joined the organization earlier this year as chief product officer (CPO). Benjamin and Connors will lead the technology and product teams responsible for the company’s award-winning product portfolio and will continue to work to accelerate iCIMS’ multi-year artificial intelligence (AI) program. Benjamin and Connor succeed Al Smithwho is retiring after nearly 10 years of scaling the iCIMS platform to become a global leader that enables millions of talent acquisition (TA) professionals to hire and retain hundreds of millions of people each year.

“We are grateful for the profound impact Al Smith has worked with iCIMS for the past decade and was confident that Joseph and Eric had the TA wealth, AI and product leadership to execute on our vision and deliver the best experiences for our clients and their candidates throughout the TA journey,” he said Jason Edelboim, CEO of iCIMS. “Together, these customer-centric leaders will take our technology to the next level and deliver the right innovative solutions to solve complex business challenges.”

Benjamin brings decades of experience in global business-to-business and business-to-consumer software-as-a-service companies, where he led and scaled product and engineering teams on rapidly evolving cloud-based applications and services. It excels in technology transformation, global infrastructure management, software development, security, data analytics, data-driven products, and uniting people and platforms through mergers and acquisitions. For 17 years, Benjamin held several senior technology positions at Oracle and DataLogix, Inc. Most recently, he served as CTO at Behavox, a leading provider of AI-powered compliance solutions, where he led software engineering, security and compliance, and infrastructure automation.

Connors – who was recently named to the Top 100 HR Influencers of 2024 – previously served as the chief operating officer (COO) of Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) Mortgage Technology, a division of ICE that owns and operates financial exchanges around the world, including New York Stock Exchange. As COO, Connors led the overall strategy of ICE Mortgage – a leading cloud-based platform provider for the mortgage financing industry – spanning product and acquisitions, product management, user experience, product compliance and corporate development. He also held leadership roles at CoreLogic, Yodlee – where he helped drive the company’s success through its IPO – and Oracle.

iCIMS employs some of the largest and most progressive companies, including a quarter of Fortune’s most innovative companies, such as Lockheed Martin, T-Mobile, General Mills and Target. The new CPOs and CTOs at iCIMS will drive continuous innovation, shape product development based on extensive customer feedback, deliver first-class experiences and deliver greater value to organizations building winning teams. Smith will continue to support the company in an advisory role during the transition period.

“iCIMS has a strong foundation of excellence and customer satisfaction, and I look forward to working with other leaders to build on that legacy and usher in the next wave of growth and transformation,” said Benjamin. “Working with our talented technology and product organizations, we will continue to deliver best-in-class recruiting solutions so our customers can succeed through the power of their people.”

We encourage TA professionals to join iCIMS Next, a free virtual user conference May 16 to hear from iCIMS leaders and connect with customers around the world for thought leadership, practical best practices, and support and training sessions. Participants will be eligible for Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credit for approved sessions.
